Kagura Summer Slope | Japan's largest summer slope

A long and wide course that can be enjoyed by people of all skill levels

Kagura Ski Resort on Mt. Naeba is easily accessible, within a 2.5 hour drive from Tokyo, and can be enjoyed from early November to late May during the season. It is renowned for its abundant snowfall and snow quality. In the summer, a summer slope appears on the family course in the Mitsumata area (along the A1 and Mitsumata No. 1 high-speed lifts), allowing you to ski and snowboard even during the snowless summer season

The course, covered with snow mats called "PIS LAB," which allow you to ski with a feeling similar to that of snow, is approximately 1,100m long and 25-50m wide, making it one of the largest in Japan. The wide course allows you to perform long turns and freestyle tricks, making it ideal for off-season training in preparation for winter. To reduce friction and improve glide, the course is watered by sprinklers and special wax is regularly applied. Applying the special wax to your skiing equipment will give you a more winter-like feeling and a sense of speed

Kagura Summer Slope's specialty: 30 artificial bump lanes

Kagura Summer Ski Resort boasts a permanent artificial mogul course. The 30-section mogul course, stretching 120 meters in length, is a popular and challenging course even for advanced technical skiers. In addition, there are 10 sections of artificial waves and a mogul course, making it an ideal training environment for those who want to practice skiing moguls next season.
In 2024, the "Kagura Piste Lab Festival Summer Ski Technical Competition" was also held, produced by athletes who have competed in technical competitions.

SNOWMAN is a cafe and restaurant located near the summit station of the Mitsumata Ropeway. There is a space at the back of the restaurant where you can take off your boots and eat, so if you get tired of skiing, it is recommended that you take a break while looking out at the course through the glass
