Enjoy an exhilarating cruise on the main shaded slopes even in summer
Hikage Slope, one of Nozawa Onsen's signature slopes, is the stage for summer skiing. It's convenient and easy to enjoy summer skiing at the bottom of a ski resort near the hot spring town without having to ride the Nagasaka Gondola to Uenodaira Kogen, so even first-timers can easily try it out.
The "PIS LAB" course, which runs along the Hikage Forelift, is 500m long and 30m wide, which is enough for making big turns. The maximum slope is 27 degrees, so there is plenty of sliding response, and even in the summer, it feels very similar to snow, including the sense of speed, and you can enjoy carving turns and grazing.
In addition, Naski Park also has a beginner-only course with a total length of approximately 40 meters, so even those who are new to the summer slopes can feel at ease. There is also a corridor-regulated training area with a total length of about 100m and a width of about 10m, where you can practice short turns with poles. Furthermore, we have also set up a lane exclusively for bumps that has a total length of about 50m and a width of about 5m and can make 15 bump turns! Suitable for everyone from families to professionals.
Enjoy Nozawa Onsen during the green season
The summer slope is located in the shaded slope at the bottom of the ski resort, but if you take the Nagasaka Gondola and go to Uenodaira Picnic Garden, it is very cool even in midsummer, and you can relax while looking at wildflowers and other flowers. .
If you want to stay active during Nozawa Onsen's green season, mountain biking is also recommended. The dynamic course, which takes advantage of the slopes of the ski slopes, is approximately 10 km long and is very impressive. It is possible to run up to a shaded slope at an altitude of approximately 700m.
Speaking of Nozawa Onsen, the main attraction is probably the hot springs. Visiting the outdoor baths at 13, the symbol of the village, also has a summer atmosphere that is appealing. It's fun to wear a yukata and stroll around the hot spring town.
