Born in Tokyo in 1975. He spent his junior high school years at Ishiuchi Maruyama Ski Resort in Niigata Prefecture and moved to the United States for high school. After graduating from high school, he joined the All Japan Alpine Team for 10 years and competed in various countries in Europe. After that, he worked as the head coach of the Chinese Alpine team, and then spent 12 years managing his own company. During this time, he will also be commentating on the Alpine World Cup. In 2015 he moved to Hawaii, USA. In 2018 he returned to the snow as the head coach of the All Japan Alpine Team, and in 2019 he moved to Innsbruck, Austria. He left the Alpine team in 2022 and is currently a skier and overseas entrepreneur who remotely manages Xpanda Co., Ltd., the sole distributor of Kessle Ski in Japan, from Austria.
