The ARMADA AR One Ski Boots are a new pair of boots that break the mold of conventional ski boots
ARMADA has announced to the world their new boots, the ARMADA AR One Ski Boots, as "a revolutionary design that is a first in the history of skiing and an industry first." They also announced that "Finally, a hard-working freeride boot has been born that is free from the 'torture-like feel'." But what exactly is it?
Staff member Masahiro Murai explains the "ARMADA AR One Ski Boots"! First of all, let's watch the video
Don't miss the easy-to-understand explanation by ARMADA staff member Tomohiro Murai! (Playback time: about 5 minutes)
「ARMADA AR One 130 MV」
Flex: 130 Last: 100mm Weight: 2100g (26.5cm) Size: 26.5, 27.5cm GripWalk (ISO 23223), Tech Toe Only Adjustable Forward Lean: 13°/ 15°/ 17° Default
*Flex is available in 5 types from 90 to 130 in increments of 10
The features that "AR One" boasts are as follows:
1. Hybrid Cabrio Design
The AR One is an industry-first, innovative design that combines the comfort of a 3-piece cabriole boot with the high performance benefits of a traditional 4-buckle model. It eliminates the drawbacks of previous 3-piece designs, such as loose heel hold and heel lift, and supports the smooth forward lean movement that freeskiers desire with the flexible flex that allows the ankle to be used freely
2. Excellent heel piece hold thanks to the "Slingshot Buckle"
The Slingshot Buckle is an innovative buckle system developed exclusively by ARMADA. It uses multi-vector tension to firmly wrap around the entire foot and pull the heel firmly back, providing a secure hold without any uncomfortable pressure
Most conventional boots tighten the front of the ankle but don't provide support up to the heel, but the AR One holds the heel securely without feeling cramped
Whether it's powder, backcountry, park, or groomed runs, the AR One's "natural flex" delivers optimal power and maneuverability for any situation, allowing you to ride the way you want
3. The same rigidity as alpine boots
Although the AR One is a freeride boot, it has the same rigidity as an alpine boot. This is also a big attraction for skiers who prioritize riding. The construction of the upper shell around the ankle is very similar to that of a four-buckle alpine boot. The upper shell of a three-piece boot is generally thin, but the AR One is very thick and three-dimensionally formed. This construction uses the know-how of two-piece alpine boots, so the ankle is flexible, but the boot does not collapse to the side, and power is transmitted firmly
"EDOLLO" has undergone a complete redesign with a waist size of 91mm!
Henrik Harlaut is undoubtedly a legend in the world of freeskiing, and his illustrious achievements are unparalleled. He has won 13 medals at the X Games, including eight gold medals. In particular, he made history at the 2013 X Games Aspen Big Air when he became the first person to land a Nose Butter Triple Cork 1620
A constant companion to Henrik is the pro model "EDOLLO," which ARMADA has been working on since 2015. Reflecting Henrik's free and creative riding style and high technical needs, the model's emphasis on performance, particularly in the park and on the street, has earned it tremendous support from skiers. While retaining the soft flex and playful ride it has inherited, for the 2025-2026 season the waist has been increased from 98mm to 91mm, creating a new appeal and effect on the ski's performance
CONSTRUCTION : AR Nose Rocker , Poplar Ash Core , 2.5 Impact Edge , S7 Base , Laminate Matrix , AR75 Sidewall
The 2025-2026 season's EDOLLO 91 has a narrower waist width, down from 98mm to 91mm. What effect does this have on the ski's performance and feel?
・Even softer flex!
The EDOLLO91 features a Henrik-style sidewall called the W3DGEWALL. Instead of the previous full sidewall that stretched from tip to tail, it has been changed to a short sidewall that is concentrated only under the feet. This brings the flex point, the part of the ski that is most likely to bend, closer to the toe piece, making the flex more pronounced and softer, making it easier to butter and play than ever before. This is perhaps the most important feature
- Lightweight for improved operability
The skis are lighter overall thanks to a slimmer 91mm waist, which dramatically improves responsiveness underfoot. This means smoother edge-to-edge transitions and improved control
・Lighter swing weight
The narrower waist also reduces swing weight, which you'll feel when performing tricks or when you need balance. The narrower waist also improves edge grip on hard snow, resulting in a smoother, more stable ride
Kim Boberg's signature "Kimbo 95"
The Kimbo 95 is a signature model developed based on the ideas of Kim Boberg. Although it has been available since the 2024-2025 season, it has rarely been seen at test rides, and its rarity has only increased its popularity. What kind of ski is it?
Kim, who has been pursuing park riding with the STRANGER, has set his ideal waist width at 95mm and radius at 15m. It could be called the "Narrow STRANGER." It bends easily like the STRANGER, and has a dramatically lighter swing weight
The center of gravity is set 2-3cm further forward than the STRANGER, making it easier to freestyle in the park. Even at a one-size-fits-all 182cm length, the short radius makes tight turns a breeze, and the soft yet responsive flex makes it ideal for butters, presses, slashes, and other tricks
In addition, by lowering the center of gravity by approximately 6 cm, the Kimbo95 also functions as a powerful on-piste cruiser. This is because the AR Freestyle Rocker, which combines rocker at the tip and tail with camber underfoot, maintains stable gliding and carving performance in a variety of snow conditions. It's great for spring slush, playing with terrain, and moguls, and its versatility makes even bad snow fun, perfectly matching Kim's image
"ARV112/106" for the 2025-2026 season, created to take on the world
For the 2025-2026 season, have you seen the ARV112 and ARV106, which ARMADA's development team in the USA has seriously created to "win the freeride world"? What changes have they made? And will the new ARV112 and ARV106, now fully-fledged models, be able to take on the world? We're so curious! Anyway, the best thing to do is watch this video. (Playback time: approx. 5 minutes)
The specs of the three models shown in the video are as follows:
The 2025-2026 ARV112 is an evolution of the legendary JJ, and is the pinnacle of the ARV collection. With a 112mm waist and long, low rocker in the tip and tail, it promises exceptional float and maneuverability, even in deep powder. The poplar core and full edge wrap construction provide stability and carving ability at high speeds. This is an unbeatable freestyle powder ski that supports the aggressive riding of athletes
The new board features a more flexible tip and tail, with a longer, lower rocker in the tip and tail for improved float and pressability in powder. The poplar core and W3DGEWALL construction provide firm grip on hard surfaces and comfortable carving. The 106mm center width makes this a board you can rely on in any situation or condition
This ARV106 model is equipped with "TI" (Titanal) for enhanced freeride performance. ATB-X technology distributes the metal around the base of the ski, eliminating the need for metal at the ends. This allows for free tip and tail movement in powder and soft snow, while providing a concentrated damping feeling and solid grip underfoot on firmer runs
The '25-26 ARV collection is so luxurious! It comes in two different graphics
The ARV series has long been known for its colorful, bold, and artistic graphics, but for the 2025-2026 season, two new designs will be released: one with artistic
The catalog states that the world depicted by MADSTEEZ "pays homage to Armada's two major homes in Utah and Innsbruck," and when you line up the six size variations (84, 88, 94, 100, and 112 cm) side by side, a single artwork emerges, as you can see. Furthermore, among the "eyes" depicted on each model are those of the legendary JP Auclair, who co-founded ARMADA with Tanner Hall
Around 1998, the global New Freestyle movement was in full swing, with JP Auclair and Tanner Hall shining at the top of the scene. In 2002, Tanner, JP, and several other top athletes pledged to "revolutionize the ski industry! Make this sport cooler and more fun in our own way." They founded ARMADA, the ski industry's first riders' brand, from scratch.
ARMADA's mission is to share their passion for skiing, art, and the mountains with the world. Always at the forefront of the scene, they continue to evolve through limit-pushing riding and innovative manufacturing, establishing themselves as a world-class brand. From their founding "New School" park image to backcountry skiing and now touring, ARMADA's reach spans the globe. Even in Japan, ARMADA's popularity shows no signs of slowing down.
