"Extrem" is produced in its own factory in Åre, Sweden, by skilled craftsmen who pride themselves on their craftsmanship. Among them, the "FACTORY" series belongs to the freeride category and is designed as an all-mountain bike that can handle a variety of situations

With its perfect balance of power and playfulness, it can handle ever-changing terrain and snow conditions. From groomed runs to exquisite powder, rugged backcountry, and nimble touring, it can literally do everything with just one ski. Itthe "One-Ski Quiver(a ski that can handle any situation with just one ski), and its high versatility has made it a favorite among big mountain skiers in North America.

For the 2026-2027 season, a new model called "FACTORY 96" was added to this series, featuring a waist width of 96mm, making it ideal for the snowy mountain environment in Japan

In terms of materials, it employs a wood core that combines lightweight and flexible poplar with beech, which has strength and resilience, in a well-balanced manner. This allows for powerful skiing while maintaining a light and agile feel. In terms of profile, it incorporates a unique sidecut shape that combines a gentle taper (a shape in which the width gradually narrows from near the point of contact with the snow towards the tip and tail) with rocker at the tip and tail. This achieves a balance between quick edge engagement at the start of a turn, reliable edge grip, and buoyancy in deep snow. A major appeal is the intuitive handling that is not found in the "102" and "112" models which have titanium in the foot area

Neither too wide nor too narrow, this board's perfectly balanced waist width allows for grippy, perfect carving turns on groomed slopes in the morning, and provides the power to traverse rougher snow surfaces in the afternoon. On days with fresh powder, it generates ample buoyancy, allowing you to create impressive sprays.

Unlike the "102" and "112," which feature metal lamination for increased rigidity, its ability to quickly switch edges and intuitively pivot is a major draw for freestylers. True to its multi-talented nature, capable of diverse performances, the board's colorful graphics also convey a sense of versatility.

Graphics refreshed! FACTORY 102 & 112

The "102" and "112" models, continuing the series, retain their high level of off-road capability and gliding performance, but the top sheet has been changed to a vibrant and iconic graphic. The distinctive and edgy design, characteristic of the Extreme series, offers excellent visibility on snowy mountains, making it stand out

BRAND features

It began in 1981 in a garage in a town in northern Sweden, with two young dreamers making handmade snowboards, and evolved into a ski company in 1998. After repeated testing in the often harsh conditions of the mountains of Åre, they developed all-mountain skis that can be used on any slope or snow type

The factory is powered by local hydroelectric power, and the core material of the skis is made from Swedish wood, so the company is also mindful of the natural environment. In recent years, the high quality of its skis has been widely praised, winning the ISPO Gold Award and being selected as the best gear by Sweden's largest ski magazine. Sweden used to be home to many ski factories, but EXTREM is the only factory brand that remains today
