Registration has opened for the annual 2-night, 3-day backcountry tour (limited to 30 participants) hosted by K2 Skis/BCA. The "Tateyama Tengu Classic," a spring specialty tour, aims for Mt. Tengu, which can only be climbed during this time of year when there is snow, with four K2/BCA contracted guides (Jun Horie, Iwao Saeki, Kazuya Igarashi, and Yuzuru Handa) who know Tateyama inside and out. The
3-day itinerary from Saturday, May 10th will include a ski tour, workshops, and a participatory event where all participants will create short turn tracks on a huge open slope. This event is for
BC riders who are particular about the quality of their experience and skiing, allowing them to enjoy the magnificent nature of Tateyama, which is close to 3,000m above sea level, in a limited number of participants after Golden Week when the crowds have subsided, and fully experience the true charm of backcountry skiing.
