In snowy mountains, fresh snow falls during the peak season, and granular snow appears in early spring. Skiing situations vary. Ideally, you'd have a pair of skis that you could use to enjoy skiing anywhere, anytime during the season. The advice of a pro shop, who can test ride numerous models on the snow and compare and evaluate products based on their extensive knowledge and user feedback, is persuasive. Ask a pro shop for a recommended model that you can rely on throughout the 2025-2026 season

They're neither too heavy nor too light, and are suitable for all snow conditions. They provide a firm grip from the top, so they offer a strong sense of stability and resistance to snow surface resistance. I also like the fact that they feel natural when switching to basic skis. I personally use them in the backcountry, and they're my trusted companions

The ARV 100 is extremely versatile in its ability to handle a wide range of snow and course conditions. Speaking personally, I'm used to riding twin-tips, so they're very easy to handle and I can enjoy them in the park just as well

It's hard to believe that the waist width is only 109mm, but these skis are great for carving turns on flat ground and are great for all snow conditions. The solid camber makes it very comfortable to push down on powder, which I really like

There are many factors that affect the conditions of the day, the amount of snow, and so on, but I think this is an all-around ski that can handle anything. From cruising the slopes to parks, freeriding, and powder runs. If you're not sure what to do, this is the one ski for you. I think it's perfect if you're looking to spend the entire season on one ski

Incredible quality and lightness. The traditional RP shape provides excellent buoyancy, while the unique carbon fiber contributes to response, stability, and durability. The radius is 15m (179cm), comparable to a basic all-around model, and it's also capable of carving on packed snow!

I mainly skied with these boards in the 2024-2025 season. They felt a little wide, but they handled both packed snow and powder well. I think skis with a waist width of around 95mm to 100mm are good for all-around skiing, but I think they were a good fit for a snowy season like this one

I really like the fact that it has just the right amount of flex and a boost in speed in the latter half of a turn. The weight of the board itself is not particularly heavy, and its versatility is another important factor in its selection. The fact that the reinforcement is made of carbon rods means that it doesn't flex too much, which is important in backcountry areas where you ski on a variety of snow conditions, and it makes it easy to interact with the snow near the surface. When it comes to bindings to pair with it, it's even better if you select a type with a low center of gravity and a lightweight toe piece

RUSTLER 10 | BLIZZARD

◆ Official HP / https://www.tecnica-group.com/
The thin, almost flat camber and flexible rocker flex smoothly, providing ample buoyancy in deep powder and all-around ease for carving on the slopes. For a board that can be used all season, regardless of snow quality or conditions, from the slopes to backcountry, I would choose an excellent board like the Rustler 10!

I use these skis myself, and they have no quirks in the ride, and are easy to control without stress. The waist width of this series is up to 86mm, so I think they will cover most of Honshu

With a 16m radius and 89mm waist width, this ski is an all-conditions model made with racing ski materials. You can ski anywhere with this one ski and it's incredibly stable. While we've had a lot of snow this year, deep, fresh snow isn't always possible, so this is the answer to that question. At just 2.1kg per ski, it's lightweight and easy to handle, and you can enjoy solid edge grip and acceleration anytime, anywhere

Stranger|ARMADA

◆ Official HP / https://armadaskis.jp/
ARMADA's ZERO COLLECTION "Stranger100" is a unique all-mountain ski with a 100mm waist width and 140mm top width. Its 180cm length and 15m radius make it easy to handle. The poplar and ash core provides stability without the need for metal, making it suitable for all terrain, from the slopes to the side country and parks. This is why I chose these skis.
I also recommend the 180cm skis for men considering purchasing, as they offer excellent high-speed stability, buoyancy, and flexibility! These high-spec skis are perfect for anything, from the harsh winter to spring.
