Escape the familiar resort and ski into the "natural beyond"
He has been a backcountry guide in Shiga Kogen, Nagano for 10 years. Since 2005, BIG CLOUD has been based at the Shiga Kogen Prince Hotel as a specialist backcountry guide company, taking skiers a step beyond the standard ski resorts and into the wilderness beyond. They guide skiers on the
so-called "classic route" tour that connects Shiga Kogen to Manza Onsen, as well as Shiga Kogen's famous dry and deep powder spots, and to authentic mountain areas such as Mt. Iwasu.

Three options: 1-day, private, and backcountry experience
Boasting high altitudes and excellent snow quality, the backcountry tour has three options: "1-day," "private," and "backcountry experience course.
" The "1-day tour" and "private tour" are courses for experienced skiers and require reservations. Depending on the day, the location chosen will be around Mt. Yakebitai or Yoshigadaira, and the difficulty of the route and whether or not it involves hiking up the mountain will vary. Tours can be conducted with a minimum of two people, but if there is space in the schedule, even single people are welcome, which is great.
First-timers should start with the experience course. This is a morning program of approximately 3.5 hours, and you can enjoy it while receiving backcountry training. Backcountry-specific equipment is free to rent, making it easy to participate.
