INDEX
What is Able Hakuba Goryu (Nagano Prefecture) like?
Enjoy twice the fun with the diverse and unique Hakuba 47 slopes
The upper slopes are characterized by a long season where you can ski from late November until the end of the Golden Week holidays in May. The slope layout consists of three unique areas: Alps, Toomi, and Iimori, and each has its own area for mogul courses, parks, and kids' slopes
Once you've taken the gondola up, the view from Alps Daira slope is spectacular. There are runs where you can enjoy ungroomed snow and moguls on the side of the slope, and runs that are completely ungroomed after snowfall. The wide Toomi slope at the bottom is open for night skiing. It connects to Hakuba 47 at the top of the slope, so you can enjoy a variety of runs by combining them
Topics from the '25-26 season
Switching all operating facilities to 100% renewable energy
Hakuba Goryu is committed to environmental conservation, including reducing CO2 emissions, in order to preserve the beautiful natural environment for future generations and achieve sustainable resort operations. By December 2023, the resort will have completed the switch to 100% renewable energy for all of its facilities. The resort is making strong progress toward becoming a zero-carbon resort, switching over to 100% renewable energy for all year-round electricity usage, including gondolas, lifts, restaurants, shops, and even snow machines.

The popular night game is open every day this season!
Goryu is the only ski resort in the Hakuba area that is open at night. It also has long hours, from 18:00 to 21:30 every day. Furthermore, starting this season, the night skiing area has been expanded to include the Toomi slope and part of the Iimori slope, making it wider and longer, allowing even kids and beginners to ski safely and comfortably. Every day after closing for the day, an hour is spent grooming the slopes with snow groomers, resulting in beautifully groomed runs that are very easy to ski on. It is popular because it makes you feel like you've improved your skiing skills.
Able Hakuba Goryu recommended course
・Champion Expert Course
Maximum gradient: 35 degrees, average gradient: 30 degrees / Distance: Approximately 500m / Slope orientation: East
This is the steepest slope in the ski resort. It starts out narrow and has a gentle slope, but after about 100m, the slope gradually drops off to the skier's left and gets steeper. It's so steep that even a snow groomer can't get in, so it's easy for moguls to form. When there's fresh snow, you can enjoy the changes in slope, but when there isn't fresh snow, it's a challenging slope
・Technical course
Maximum gradient: 28 degrees, average gradient: 24 degrees / Distance: Approximately 300m / Slope orientation: East
It's easy to get to as it can be accessed from the lift stations for the Panorama Course and the Grand Prix Course at Alps Daira. However, it is highly competitive when there is fresh snow. The entire course can be seen from the lift, giving skiers the feeling of it being a small stage. The slope is generally flat, making it easy to ski. There are often moguls in the middle of the course width, so caution is required when the snowfall is thin
・Grand Prix Course
Maximum gradient: 23 degrees, average gradient: 21 degrees / Distance: Approximately 900m / Slope orientation: East
The largest single run at the ski resort. The wide, flat surface makes it great for making big turns. On snowy days, both ends of the run are great spots. The skier's right side has large steps, making it a great terrain for jumps. The upper part of the skier's left side, below the lift line, is interesting. The undulating terrain makes it enjoyable even on gentler slopes. Above all, the view is great and pleasant

Recommended information from ski resorts
Recommended Gourmet
Alp360 Curry @ Panoramic Restaurant Alp360 The cafe restaurant "Alp360" in Alpsdaira is a popular lunch spot where you can enjoy the spectacular view of the Northern Alps and other mountains from the windows. The signature dish named after the restaurant is this special curry. The thick Sangen pork intertwined with the rich roux is irresistible. The portion is also very satisfying.
Recommended hot springs
Hakuba Himekawa Onsen Ryujin no Yu is a day-trip hot spring bathing facility located on the first basement floor of Escal Plaza. There is also a sauna. It is convenient and nice to be able to relax and refresh after skiing. It is effective for neuralgia and muscle pain. Opening hours: 12:00 - 22:00
