Recommended courses at Shizukuishi Ski Resort
・Giant slalom course
Maximum slope: 22 degrees, Average: 18 degrees / Distance: 746m / Slope orientation: There are three courses that can be skied down from the top of the southeast slope, all of which are steep slopes suitable for advanced skiers and offer plenty of challenge, but the Giant Slalom course is especially fun with its varied slopes. The slope is moderate from the start, but there are undulations and it drops off a bit from the section that curves to the left. It is a popular course because you can enjoy deep powder riding when it snows.
Downhill
Maximum slope: 24 degrees, Average: 15 degrees / Distance: 2,648m / Slope orientation: A course that extends for approximately 2,700m from the top of the East Ski Resort. This slope has previously hosted the men's downhill Alpine World Cup. The course, which runs along the ridge, is wide and consists of gentle and steep slopes, offering plenty of excitement. It's also nice to ski leisurely while gazing at Mount Iwate on your left. In the lower part, the course splits into several sections, with the most challenging being the "Yoshitsune" and "Yoshitsune Bypass" courses, which boast some of the steepest slopes in the ski resort.

Aneko Miso Ramen @ Ramen Aneko Shizukuishi's signature ski resort menu item is this "Aneko Miso Ramen." The rich flavor of the special miso soup and the crisp stir-fried vegetables are a perfect match, and the gentle taste with the aroma of sesame oil makes it very popular. "Aneko" means "older sister" in the local dialect. It's a welcome dish that will warm you up on a cold day in the northern region.
