Living close to the snowy mountains is something every skier and snowboarder dreams of at least once. Minamiuonuma City in Niigata Prefecture is home to 10 ski resorts, meaning that no matter where you live in the city, you can reach the nearest ski resort in just 10 minutes by car. The neighboring town of Yuzawa also has an equal number of ski resorts, allowing you to enjoy skiing and snowboarding on a wide variety of slopes to suit your mood and the conditions of the day
Taking advantage of this unique location and natural environment, Minamiuonuma City has consistently focused on the theme of "connecting with snow" in its relocation policies. Two years ago, it published a booklet called "Snowy Town" that summarized the lives of people who live in the city and enjoy skiing and snowboarding, encouraging people with a positive image of snow to relocate
This year, in order to further encourage relocation, four videos were produced: EX / XC / U Turn / New Founding, which focus on people who have actually relocated or returned to the area. These are documentaries that closely examine the relationship between snow and daily life.
The models featured are of different ages and have different backgrounds.
include the real voices of people who have relocated to Minamiuonuma City, for example, because they love snow and want to create an environment for skiing, or to raise children.
