Kiroro Snow World

It is close to Sapporo city, so you can make a day trip even if you stay in Sapporo. Kiroro is blessed with more than 5 meters of snow when it is heavy. Snow falls almost every night during the high season, resetting the course conditions. For freeride enthusiasts, there are five off-piste areas that you can enter from the entrances set up in the ski resort management area. There is a wide variety of variations such as beautiful broadleaf forests, varied natural terrain, deep powder spots, and courses full of exploration.

Hachimantai Resort Panorama & Shimokura

This is a highland resort that spreads out on the north side of Mt. Iwate, and consists of a panoramic ski area behind the base Hachimantai Mountain Hotel, and Shimokura Ski Resort, which is located on the eastern slope of Mt. Shimokura in a corner of Hachimantai. Panorama is for those who want to enjoy a leisurely resort life in hot springs, while Shimokura is for powder skiing. Shimokura Ski Resort receives ``ultra light powder,'' the highest quality powder with extremely low moisture content. In addition to the course, there are also four types of tree run areas where you can fully enjoy the powder. It is also well known that many skiers flock to Shimokura no Wall, which has a maximum slope of 37 degrees.

Tengendai Plateau

The top of Tengendai Kogen is over 1,800 meters above sea level, and because it slopes northward, it boasts a snow quality that is said to be "Honshu's finest powder" and a spectacular amount of accumulated snow. You can also see frost-covered trees on the slopes, and the beautiful scenery is also one of the attractions. The vertically long layout has a variety of slope configurations, and the uncompacted powder zone is also open. During the high season, you can enjoy a super long run of 6km. Hoshino Resorts Nekoma Mountain

EN RESORT Grandeco

Grandeco's appeal lies in the fact that it is a resort that is home to the luxurious EN RESORT Grandeco Hotel, yet also offers quality skiing. With its base at an elevation of over 1,000m, you can enjoy high-quality snow and a long season. The slopes are based around a 2.4km gondola. Another feature of Grandeco is that all other lifts are hooded quads. They are skier-friendly, with high maneuverability, allowing for efficient skiing, and no need to worry about the cold.

Lotte Arai Resort

Akakura Tourist Resort Ski Area

Standing halfway up the slopes, the red-roofed Akakura Kanko Hotel is a pioneering Japanese highland resort with a history of 80 years. Nicknamed Akakan, it is popular with advanced skiers. The "DAY PASS" was newly introduced for the 2024-2025 season. It's extremely convenient and convenient for visitors to Ishiuchi Maruyama multiple times during the season. The "DAY PASS" is like a set of one-day passes that can be used freely for the number of days purchased at any time during the season.

Maiko Snow Resort

NASPA ski garden

NASPA Ski Garden is a hotel and ski resort located about three minutes away by free shuttle bus from Echigo-Yuzawa Station. Its dedicated ski slope, a rarity these days, has eight courses, including a 2.2km long course that even beginners can enjoy from the summit, as well as steep slopes, mogul runs, ungroomed snow areas, and courses for intermediate and advanced skiers, catering to all levels of skier.

Madarao Kogen Ski Resort

Madarao Kogen is a popular ski resort that represents the Shinetsu area with a lot of snow. Shiga Kogen Yakebitaiyama Ski Resort
