Recommended courses at Shizukuishi Ski Resort
・Giant slalom course

Maximum gradient: 22 degrees, average: 18 degrees / Distance: 746m / Slope orientation:
There are three runs that can be skied down from the top of the southeast slope, all of which are steep and challenging for advanced skiers, but the giant slalom course is particularly fun with lots of slope changes. The slope is just right from the start, but as it winds around to the left it drops off a little with some undulations. When it snows, you can enjoy deep powder riding, making this a popular course.
Downhill

Maximum gradient: 24 degrees, average gradient: 15 degrees / Distance: 2,648m / Slope orientation:
This course continues for approximately 2,700m from the top of the East Ski Resort. This is the slope where the Alpine World Cup Men's Downhill was held in the past. The course running along the ridge is wide and made up of gentle and steep slopes, making it a very challenging ski run. It's also nice to leisurely ski down while looking at Mount Iwate to your left. At the bottom, the course splits into several courses, with the most difficult being the Yoshitsune and Yoshitsune Bypass courses, which boast some of the steepest slopes in the ski resort.

Anekko Miso Ramen @ Ramen
Anekko Shizukuishi's specialty dish is the "Anekko Miso Ramen." The richness of the special soup is perfectly matched with the crunchy stir-fried vegetables, and the gentle flavor with the aroma of sesame oil is what makes it so popular. "Anekko" means "older sister" in the local dialect. This is a delightful dish that will warm you up when you're chilled in the north.

Shizukuishi Takakura Onsen @ Shizukuishi
Prince Hotel This hot spring is located at Shizukuishi Prince Hotel within Shizukuishi Ski Resort. Day use is also available. The covered open-air bath is very charming.
