Close report on the recording of the Hokkaido ski TV program "LOVE SKI HOKKAIDO" Day_2

The second day of recording for LOVE SKI HOKKAIDO, where Hokkaido's most famous skiers ski all over Hokkaido

To fully enjoy Sapporo, the two stayed at
GARDENSCABIN This business hotel was built in 2019. The large public bath is equipped with a Finnish-style sauna, making it extremely popular with young people and business people alike. The hotel offers the added benefit of private rooms at a reasonable price comparable to a capsule hotel, allowing guests to relax and unwind.

Sapporo has many business hotels, each offering comfortable services. One of Sapporo's charms is that you won't have any trouble finding a place to stay after skiing, even if they aren't directly operated by the ski resorts

The two relax over morning coffee before leaving. It's hard to tell from the photo, but they're having a hilarious chat right from the start

Leaving the hotel, we headed to Sapporo Teine in the Teine district, which is popular among freeskiers that day

On this day, a ski class for elementary school students was being held at Sapporo Teine, and the slopes were bustling with activity

Unfortunately, there had not been enough snowfall by the time of the recording, and the famous North Wall slope, with a maximum gradient of 35 degrees, and the Women's Giant Slalom had not yet opened

So the two of them ski down the Olympia Zone. The slopes are a mix of steep and steep slopes, making it a great feeling to ski down. This is another attraction not to be missed

It offers a spectacular view of Sapporo city and Ishikari Bay, a view that rivals the night view from Mt. Moiwa

This is the view you get when you get off the Olympic Cauldron No. 1 lift. The city of Sapporo is familiar to me, but the combination of snow, city, and sea is always a spectacular sight.
After enjoying the view, it's time to go skiing.

Their favorite spots are the Olympic Cauldron Ocean Cruise and the Olympic Cauldron Ocean Stream. Although the courses are compact with varying slopes and complex terrain changes, they can become extremely difficult depending on how you ski

Iyama Keisuke descends gracefully, sending up streams of snow
The two are idols in Sapporo. During filming, they often responded to requests for commemorative photos. Each time, Iyama would promote his own YouTube channel, saying, "Search for ZuruTube!"
A sneak peek at the collaboration between some of the country's best skiers!

After enjoying carving at Sapporo Teine, we recorded a talk at the Salomon Experience Base.
This place is close to Sapporo Bankei Ski Resort and stocks a wide range of ski and trail running products. As it is directly managed by the manufacturer, you can get your hands on the latest gear and get information.

He talks about the boards he uses and the Salomon brand, and sometimes gets serious

Later that night, we headed to Sapporo Bankei Ski Resort, which is about a 5-minute drive from there

Bankei's ski school is home to the Bankei Ski School, where Iyama is a member. When the two visit Iyama's home slope, they unexpectedly meet Susumu Ogura, Sasaki's coach from his junior and senior high school days. Akira Sasaki and his coach reminisce about their past

The skis that Ogura owns are an astounding 210cm long. He is a unique individual who chooses to wear classic equipment, especially in this day and age when we have all the latest gear. If you look closely, you'll see that his boots are also classic
Sapporo Bankei is a place Iyama knows well, and the two skaters' performance captures beautiful footage on camera

This concludes Day 2. On Day 3, we head back to Sapporo International. With the cold air moving in and snowfall from the night skiing at Sapporo Bankei, the slopes look to be in good condition for Day 3. This is the advantage of Sapporo, where you can choose where to ski depending on the conditions

Stay tuned for day 3!

The broadcast will start at 1:20am on January 30th on TV Hokkaido (broadcast only in Hokkaido region)
