All products using "GORE-TEX PRO" are environmentally friendly and PFAS-free

Arc'teryx, a leader in the evolution of outdoor products, is incorporating the newly developed ePE (expanded polyethylene) membrane into all GORE-TEX PRO products starting this season. While maintaining the same outstanding waterproof and breathable performance, the characteristic stiffness of GORE-TEX has been reduced, resulting in a softer, more supple feel.
Lightweight and durable, the product is now completely PFAS-free, eliminating the use of PFAS (fluorinated organic compounds), which have been considered a "permanent chemical" until now. This next-generation GORE-TEX PRO combines comfort and functionality at a high level while reducing environmental impact.

The company already uses a fluorine-free durable water repellent (DWR) treatment across all GORE-TEX product categories, and this change means that the company is now completely PFAS-free from manufacturing to processing. The company
has also changed the fabric pattern to minimize fabric waste, saving 800 meters (enough to make 400 jackets) of scrap material during the manufacturing process.

The first of the next-generation products is the BETA AR JACKET. The "AR" in the model name stands for "All Round," symbolizing its versatility for a variety of activities, from mountaineering to skiing and trekking. Its attention to detail includes
a DropHood™ that protects against wind and snow even when the hood is down and allows for a quick fit adjustment with a pull cord, strategically placed pockets that do not interfere with harnesses or waist belts, and dual-zipper ventilation that allows for precise adjustment according to the situation. The lining is made with GORE® Micro Grid Backer technology, which boasts the highest abrasion resistance, is lightweight, and highly breathable, allowing it to easily retain warm air inside.

Designed for outdoor professionals and athletes, this versatile hard shell offers exceptional durability and protection, delivering the ultimate in performance and comfort in extreme conditions and harsh environments.
