The "JONDANO COBRA" inherits the DNA of a legendary instrument while achieving unparalleled lightness
Bluemoris has earned the trust of many skiers with its superior gliding performance, crafted by skilled artisans who have a deep understanding of Japan's snow conditions. They continue to release unique products with their own distinctive sensibility, such as short fat skis and the "RAPTOR," which allows you to enjoy two different riding experiences with one pair of skis by switching the left and right skis. In the 2026-2027 season, they have attracted attention with the "JONDANO COBRA," a derivative of the hugely popular "JONDANO" model
"No matter what time of year it is, this one ski can handle any situation, from carving on the slopes to playing on terrain and deep powder," the Bluemoris development staff said with absolute confidence. This model inherits the overwhelming buoyancy and performance of the base JONDANO, while being a more user-friendly all-mountain ski
Factory technology that combines nimble handling with stability
Structure and Core Material: The "Light Wood Core" delivers overwhelming lightness . The core material now uses a lightweight "Light Wood Core," resulting in an astonishing reduction of over 500g in the overall weight of the skis per pair. This makes them dramatically easier to handle than the JONDANO, allowing for quick pivot maneuvers in tight tree runs and minimizing fatigue during long runs.
The outline design features a "Nose-Tail Rocker" with precisely placed rocker in both the nose and tail. This ensures buoyancy in powder while minimizing snow resistance, allowing for smooth turn initiation.
The excellent glide is achieved through the "Micro Stone Finish" on the sole. The base of the skis is finished with "Micro Stone Finish," which brings out outstanding gliding performance. It supports a smooth run even on Japanese snow conditions, such as wet snow with a lot of moisture and sticky snow in early spring.
The 96mm waist brings about a dramatic awakening of carving performance
While the "JONDANO" has a fat 105mm waist, the "COBRA" is slightly slimmer with a 96mm waist. This mold setting is the key point. As a result, it maintains buoyancy in powder while allowing for quicker edge changes on groomed slopes, dramatically improving carving performance. The weight has also been reduced by more than 500g per pair, resulting in a lighter and more agile skiing feel
One of the developers, Koji Watanabe, is also satisfied with the JONDANO COBRA skis
According to staff member Edo-san..
"The basic materials used in JONDANO and JONDANO COBRA are the same. However, JONDANO, which requires rigidity and stability, has a thicker core material and a larger amount of reinforcing laminated into it. In contrast, COBRA is a ski that aims to be a true all-rounder in a variety of conditions."
While it will be handed over to the JONDANO in harsh conditions like backcountry skiing, we pursued specifications that allow you to freely traverse other fields. We thoroughly reduced the weight while ensuring that it can carve smoothly on flat slopes, flow through fresh snow, and glide effortlessly down tree runs. We pursued the ideal performance for skiers. The difference in shape contributes greatly, but we hope you will also realize that even with almost the same materials, the tuning of the design can result in skis with such different characteristics."
The "JONDANO COBRA" was born with even greater agility. It boasts a sharp response, like a cobra stalking its prey, allowing you to instantly dominate everything from groomed slopes to off-piste terrain. But how capable is it really?
